2 Brothers Tiri Saddam Hussein sentenced to death would

Five Iraqi officials during the reign of the late Saddam Hussein will be executed within a month.Among the five,including two of Saddam's half-brother.

The five death row inmates had just handed over to Iraqi authorities by the United States military (U.S.).The five men are among 206 detainees still being held high-level U.S.forces ahead of the U.S.military withdrawal from Iraq by the end of this year.

"They (the five officers) will be executed within one month,"said the Iraqi Justice Ministry spokesman Haidar al-Saadi told AFP on Friday (07/15/2011).
"They include Watban and Sabawi Ibrahim Hassan Ibrahim al-Tikriti,half brother of two former dictator Saddam Hussein," added al-Saadi.
All three other Iraqi officials who will be condemned to death are former Defense Minister Sultan Hashem Ahmed and Hussein Rashid al-general ex-Tikriti and Aziz Salih Numan. The fifth man has been sentenced to death in a different trial.
"Justice Minister Hassan al-Shammari visit to the presidency earlier this week and they agreed not to delay their ratification of the death penalty,"said al-Saadi.
"We are confident that the board will sign the documents in a few days and they will be executed within a month,"said al-Saadi.
As per Iraqi law, all death sentences must be approved formally by President Jalal Talabani or by one of two vice presidents.
