Berlusconi on Wednesday (09/11/2011) announced that he would not participate in early elections,after a day earlier promised to resign if parliament approved the budget reform in 2012.
"I will resign as soon as the law was passed," he told his own television station Canale 5,as reported by Xinhua.
In an interview with newspaper La Stampa,Berlusconi repeats the statement about his resignation.
"Really,I would not run again," he said,adding that now is the time for a party colleague,secretary of the Party Rakyat Merdeka Angelino Alfano,for advanced.
