Spies made his debut in MotoGP with Tech 3 Yamaha Monster last season.With the best results reach the podium at Silverstone and Indianapolis,riders from the United States successfully won the Rookie of the Year 2010.
Spies promotion this season to accompany Jorge Lorenzo Yamaha Valentino Rossi,left to Ducati.The results were quite impressive,with a victory at Assen and the podium in Catalunya.
Although later in the remaining eight series again failed to achieve victory, Spies claims remain satisfied with the achievements in the MotoGP 2011.
"The target this year is to win races,and if we can win another race,then it will be great.But,after last season you target only in the podium and finished second,was to win the race.We have reached that target,"said Spies as reported by Crash.net.
"We had a difficult start, but in recent weeks we played consistently and always in the top five or podium. We have to fix some things, but all riders also make corrections, so I am happy with this condition," said Spies.
Spies are currently in sixth position while the rider standings with 98 points. The next series will take place at the Circuit Brno, Czech Republic, August 14, 2011
