"A number of organizers 'sit on Wall Street' has been arrested for disturbing the public order (blocking traffic),but they were not tortured. And there's no family that will receive the body of a protester with the marks of torture," wrote the U.S. Embassy in Damascus, comparing demonstrations that occurred in the U.S. with Syria.

"The group (of protesters) sit on Wall Street ... can say what they want to say about the U.S. government without being captured or shot," he said again.

The message invites a reaction from the public. Some there are who support the U.S. Embassy statement, others criticized the record of democracy in America.
