Quoted from page Daily Mail on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, troublesome event which was broadcast on one of the BBC's international channel, entitled 'Mark & Olly: Living with the Machigenga'. According to several parties who have worked with the tribe that lived in the Amazon, a lot of subtitle is wrong, make it look like a tribe of wild tribes, not a peace-loving as they should.

For example,in a scene,a member of the tribe saying something given the subtitle "We use arrows to kill outsiders who threaten us." In fact, according to Ron Shepard,an anthropologist who understands the language of the tribe who is also known by the name of this Matsigenka, actually means "You come from a distant place where foreigners live."
Not only that, Shepherd also found fault with another subtitle, such as saying "They look more like playing rather than rowing'" which translates to "They're going to die soon". According to him,is wrong and demeaning portrayals that make the original character of the tribe Matsigenka killed. So people see this as a tribe of wild and primitive tribes.
