Exhibition of Islamic Art in LA

No fewer than 76,000 people visited the exhibition "Gifts Emperor" held by the Turks in Los Angeles,United States,from 5 June to 5 September 2011 ago.

Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, on Monday (17.10.2011), stating that the exhibition displays 200 objects of Islamic art and culture. Exhibition held at the Los Angeles Art Museum. Similarly,reported Anadolu.

The exhibition was also displayed 19 items from the Turkish culture.

Goods and Turkish Islamic art and culture which had been exhibited in Los Angeles, will be shown again at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. Exhibition in the state of Texas will be held on October 23,2011 until January 16,2012.

Collection "Gifts Sultan" was shown,among others,carpets,wooden furniture, jewelry,weapons,and books from America,Europe and the Middle East.

The purpose of the exhibition is to introduce the works of Islamic art and culture to the people the United States
